Yes, I know...

I am a slacker. I have just begun to read more on the Meyer side of the family, and am beginning to add that information to my ancestry.com account. It will take some time before I can add much to this site.

My wife is currently five months pregnant. I think we've whittle down potential names to:

if it is a boy - Sean Maytor McKinley (the "e" in Sean should have an accent over it, but I have yet to figure out how to do that in html code);

if it is a girl - Sylvia McKinley; we have several names in mind for the middle name.

Why these names? First of all, my wife and I will not know the gender of the child until it is born. As for the male name, Sean is Gaelic for John (and a name of several Saints), and the name Maytor, contrary to what some may think, has been chosen to honor Maytor Healy who worked in the copper mine in Hancock, MI. After having been in the mine myself, I thought it was a fitting way to honor him and his sacrifice.

Sylvia is my mother's name and is the name of a Saint.
